-Dana 30 front with 4:56 gears from a 2001 XJ -Ford 8.8 rear with 4:45 gears unless it's a typo, which is entirely possible, now that i look a second time.

Andy.. I Left my camera at my dads house. I'll be out there next weekend to get it. As well as get some more work done on the CJ. Being that its in a garage now... its FINALLY being worked on. I want to have the body cut loose, if not taken off the Jeep by next Sunday. Anyone near Lancaster want to come over for some beers and wrenching Yeah, the XJ does have 4:55s or whatever Ford uses. It was a typo. Now that I have a new job (woohoo!) I can actually afford to finish up these 3 Jeeps... AND take them on the trails!

Only update I have on the XJ is that the cage is POR'ed and I had to pull the fuse for the dome light (no radio now either) because there is a short in the wire somewhere. That's why it kept dying at Neil's house. Somehow somethin got messed up. I just gotta figure out where!!!
Dude... I have been so busy with the new job. Just got done training on Wed.... 1 month of training. Woot! Plus they have me enrolled in 3 classes to start learning the business, and their company. Its like being back in school. I have exams! WTF!!! I'll have updates on the Heep as soon as possible.
On top of that... might be moving into a house with the band-mates, being renovating one of the rooms in my moms house.. paying of too many bills, and trying to scrounge together the money to finish dad's YJ.

Been busy doing lots of little things. Just got my 8274 winch running. Now it just needs a fairlead and some cable. Took out the shackles greased 'em and reinstalled them. Took a nice bit of acrylic caulk and sealed up my leaky windshield. Changed my spark plugs, man they were toasted. I'll admit, i got suckered into Bosch +4 Platinums way back when (Just now realized i was still in college when i last changed the plugs). Whent with Champions this time. I was debating running them at a .040 gap. Heard you might get a slight nump in power, but kept it at .035. Next is a fluid change and possibly removing the muffler and using a striaght pipe or a glasspack.. Its the lowest thing hanging under the Jeep. I'd rather it be lound than start filling the cabin with fumes.

Decided to start cutting. Well, i've decided to start measuring first, but I am going to bring the rear shocks through the floor. Might even tie it into the cage and make a divider for the cargo area, but that comes later. For now its shocks, poly long arm ends instead of those heims, and finishing the winch.

Shackle Relocation kit is ordered. Should help the rear flex. I am lookin At new shocks too. I might copy Will and cheap out on rear shocks and get better ones for the front. We will see. I did see notice Rustys RX200 shocks but i have seen zero reviews. That and fix up the trailer and im ready to wheel. I need new springs pretty badly. Owning a house.is nice because it gives me room to work on my Jeep, but eats all the money to do it with!

The shocks I have in the rear on mine are for an 87 f250 4x4. Just as much travel as my old Rubicon Express 4" monotubes and I can buy 4 for the price of one RE.
