I think im free that weekend. Can't be 100% sure just yet. I'll have to check with the accounting department. We need insulation in the attic and new garage doors before winter hits. We discovered how pooly insulated our house wwas last year when we got the oil bill. I still haven't figured out what i'm doing with my rear shocks, either. Probably going to run up into the cab. Didnt want to, but i don't see many other viable options.

Sorry I can't make it. I'll go any weekend after I get back from Salem although you probably won't be able to go then.

If things end up going the way I would like, my schedule will be my schedule in the not so far future. This winter is probably going to remain the same tho. I won't be in for a trip again until probably April.

So weather may become an issue for this trip. The Hurricane playing below Florida may end up coming up the coast and hitting just in the right time of the beginning of the trip. Although there is no gaurantee of anything at this point, if it should, their saying they think it would be quite severe for the eastern coast. This would be a trip breaker for me, as I'm not going to leave the family to brave a hurricane on their own. Not mentioning I can't see camping or wheeling being fun in that. Also the last time a storm came thru like that, the entire area near the park had some severe damage and road closures.......time will tell

Looks like Cliff and myself are still giving this a go this weekend.
They were having a toys for tots run on sat.,which to my knowledge hasn't been canceled, so we'll see how that turns out.
My wife is ok with me going, beings everything is good right here after the storm, and it is the last possible trip until next spring, so I'm just looking to have a good time, before my winter schedule sets in.

The trip went ok, we had fun but not with-out some issues.
It was seriously cold and damp, which made me glad I had the half doors and soft uppers on along with the heat installed.
I snapped the upper shock eye off of my PS front bilstein. It snapped the stud that the eye attaches to.
I caught fire momentarily when climbing a hill and some leaves sparked up on the manifold.
Cliff snapped off a valve stem on crawler ridge, that luckily was a very slow leak. A new stem and install from the outside made for a quick fix.....the longest wait was getting the big style stem from advance 30 mins. away.
My truck has either a leaking head gasket or cracked head on cyl.4, but I think it has been for the last 2.5 yrs. It just started using a very small amount of water over this summer, but I was leary about towing out this time and I ended up toasting the plug wires which left to some cutting out and wondering if I was going to make it with only a 1/4 mile to go to the park.
The local parts store was out of wires of course, so Chris brought out his truck and rode along sSunday. I towed home with his truck and he followed with mine. No hiccups and a safe ride home were welcomed. Now I have to adress my head issue. probably going with new heads and freshenning uo the block beings I have the top end all redone. It as at 205K or so.
Cliff's Yj worked out well, and was proven that 42's don't even go anywere you would like. We spent the entire weekend hitting the Big stuff to put everything thru the paces. I even got to use my winch once on the 2nd run of Crawl Daddy. I got hung up on a stump behind my front axle and a rock against the front diff, so neadless to say on a wet trail with little traction, I wasn't getting loose from that spot.
I ran the same line the day before without too much issue, but it was alot wetter on Sunday and alot less traction.
Some of the spots were only passible for the first and only one of us, by the second one trying to pass everything would get too slick to make the climb. Me and Cliff were trading off on who went first so no one got left out.
More work for spring and can't wait for another trip with more favorable weather and hopefully attendees.
I got a couple pics....two or three of cliff, I'll get them up here shortly. Of course they don't do any justice for the acctual look of what he was on.
