Just thought I woul dlet you all know that I did finally get my TJ back with the Advanced Adapters Atlas 4-Speed installed. So far so good. Went wheeling on Nov 25 and it worked great. I have the 1:1, 2:1, 2.72:1 and 5.44:1 set up...so for normal off road I can run 2:1 or 2.72:1, I found using 2.72:1 works great and keeps me with most of the other Jeeps running 231's...then with a pull on the lever drop to 5.44:1 to crawl and obstacle. Since it is based on the Atlas I also have the ability to run RWD, FWD or 4WD.

That sounds like a gnarly combination. I think I'll consider an Atlas II t-case before I re-gear again.

Lou call them and check on their build schedule...mine was held up because the planetary gears for the 2:1 were back ordered so instead of the 6 - 8 week lead time it took almost 12 weeks...then once it arrived it did not fit as they said it would. I have the Teraflex belly up skid plate and a 1" body lift which Advanced Adapters said would have no clearance issues, but the skid plate would not bolt up so we had to go back to a 1" skid plate drop and then my drive shaft was two long so we had to order one from Tom Woods who had it in Colorado in less than 72 hours, what a great company they are! After all that it took a full week to get it installed. Since I got it back we modified the skid plate so I was able to eliminate the 1" drop and the Tom Woods drive shaft still works and other than some issues with the vent tube puking fluid which has now been fixed too, everything is working fine.... Next big project will be to stretch the front end, saving up for that now
