Well I decide to go with a Rockhard rear bumper/tire carrier on the TJ and and then move the Garvin Wilderness bumper/tire carrier to the LJ. This way when I upgrade to 37" tires in a few months I have room to carrier a spare. I am also having the latch changed over to the new quick release style.
I picked up an M-100 trailer that I will be turning into an off road camping trailer and this way I can tow it with either Jeep.

Where did you end up finding your trailer? Have you decided on possibly doing a roof top or just to haul gear?
I spent a couple of the rainy afternoons in Florida last week designing a trailer to use as a camper trailer. Chris was drawing it all up on Autocad. He will be back in town in another week and I'll get the final plans. Then to draw up a material list and come up with a budget. Maybe by next year we can meet up in your neck of the woods and do some "adventure wheeling".

Wonk, there was an Airman in the club who had one and getting out, picked it up for $400. Needs a little work and some modifications for what I want to do with it. I want to extend the tongue, replace the floor, add some tube fenders and then a lid/top that will support a tent. Right now I can use it as is to haul all of our gear, so this will be a multi-year project, but should be a lot less than dropping $8 - $10K for a new one.

Out at Rausch Creek last trip a couple with their two kids hads one set up pretty slick. Had I known you's were thinking along those lines I would have taken a closer look. It was deffinitely cool.
More or less like you are talking Brian, but they had some sort of a double decker tent. Kids on top and parents below.
The whole thing collapsed into itself. Propane bottle on the hitch and stovetop on the tailgate.

This sounds like a fun project, Brian!
OTH, how has the Wilderness bumper held up for you? I know I was very pleased with how my non-tire carrier model was holding up on the YJ. Even with being banged/dragged over rocks and the powder coating being compromised it never started flaking/losing powder coating in the surrounding areas.

Other than the hinge I have been very happy with the Wilderness bumper/tire carrier. The issue with the hinge is that there is a zert to grease it, but there is no channel or room inside the hidge to allow the grease to travel and actually lubricate the action. So every three months or so I have to soak it in 3-in-1 oil or WD-40 to try and loosen it up. I am hoping that Predator can get it apart and scribe a groove in the cylinder and that will help.

Well I like the quality of the Rock Hard bumper and tire carrier and how easier it is to open, close, etc. Not crazy about the Hi-Lift mounting position, you can really only mount it one way and then it partially blocks the license plate, off course they offer a license plate re-location kit The other thing I like but don't is that the 2" receiver is almost flush with the face of the bumber and the pin goes behind the bumper between the bumper and the frame. This is nice and clean and protects the pin, but makes it almost impossible to use a locking pin and some receiver inserts, like the one my trailer ball is on are to long and hit the frame...
