Doing our yearly Memorial Day Trip. 3 days, Fri night (meeting at the park and camping) thru Mon. Leaving Monday Night for home. Leaving park roughly 5PM. This is not a trip to miss out on! Food and drinks are usually organized the week before and sorted out amongst all attending unless you prefer supplying your own. This like vacation, and we eat WELL. Just so there is no missunderstanding, most of us camp the whole time, although there are some hotels 20-30 min from the park. Come well prepared with what ever you think you may need for the trail. Some spare parts are usually a good idea, but there are some parts stores and yards around the area if need be. We don't wheel light, but there are bypasses. Post if intrested and if anything changes I will post. If all goes well these will be the days were going.

Looks like were going to have a pretty decent turn-out with a good number of rigs this year. Hopefully everyone shows up. The crunch is deffinitely on where getting ready is concerned. It will be here in no-time soooooooon!

a couple of things to tidy up yet, and hopefully nothing gets overlooked. I'm almost afraid to check the weather for this weekend. Last yr was monsoon rains, like 6-8" on a sat.
To boot,Will snapped balljoints at the bottom of crawl daddy. FUN ;D

hope to see you on the trails sometime. Hopefully we get some pictures this time around, and I'll post some up so all the mall-crawlers can see what their missing out on. Besides, jeeps look better dirty, dinged, sratched and scar'd anyway. So GET OUT THERE AND WHEEL

Hope you guys are having fun! No monsoon rains (was actually up towards that area wheeling with the woman's friends last year), but plenty of heat, like two years ago when I had my fan problems.
I miss my Jeep. May be picking up something to kinda replace it this week, though.

Had an awesome weekend. We ended up with the core group, which is usually expected, but fun all the same.
Unfortunately, I personally did not take any pictures again, but I am hoping to round up some pics and videos from others. It's hard to get pics when your leading, and beings we have a very seasoned group, we seldom have to acctually get out of the vehicles, which is prime picture taking time, but I will get whatever I can posted up here.

Abigail had a blast on sat as you can see in the pic below. That was right before lunch time and heading back to the camp. Took a snails pace to get back without giving her wiplash while sleeping.
It was great hearing her say, "Daddy, this is the best day ever!"
This was her first ride and she's just turning 4 on Monday, so I'm sure she'll be out alot more in the future......1 day at a time, until she can handle a full weekend.
She already wants more seat space for her little sister and cousins.
Days like these are priceless being a father.

Will has certainly gone further with his LJ since it's no longer his daily, I see!
And, wow, is she really almost 4 already, Neil? Great to hear she enjoyed it.

Time flies. Abigail is 4 on june 4th, and savanna will be 1 on july 13th.
Having kids makes the yrs fly by all the faster because you see somebody everyday growing.......I think. If you have a easy time frame to reflect on, it always seems like just yesterday, but yesterday is now yrs and decades away.
Will just got done, like the day before the trip, buttoning up the front end. He went from the D30 with 35's to the D44 with 37's, and yes the u-joint was still the weak-joint. I think he had a china made joint tho.
It worked out very well tho, overall.
