Bendix was always good for quality, now Bendix Global is made in china also. I've gotten rotors that are the correct overall thickness, but one side is really thick and the other thin. (JUNK)
I don't think that their is much that you can buy that isn't made in CHINA, so I inspect and return if neccesary.

I'm OK with purchasing stuff made in China, as long as quality isn't sacrificed.

I've seen a lot of rotors like that, Neil, and when compared to the ones coming off, they were the same. I'm not quite sure why they make them that way, but some of the rotors are just made that way, I think.

That's just poor quality during manufacture. If they were doing it on purpose it would be labled for a specific locale on the vehicle because it was designed that way. JUNK

I've seen thin on the inside, thick on the outside consistently. And if it comes from poor manufacturing, they're quality control is beyond horrible.

alot of these countries don't have much for quality control period. One of the reasons they operate the manufacturing plants so cheap.
Their idea of a defect and ours are two different things for sure. I bet they check overall thickness on a rotor versus inside, outside, and total. correcting a problem like that is tooo costly!
