I've been wanting to do this for a while now. I thought it would be a good way to post proper techniques of say......winching,snatching,using straps(without hooks prefered). Tow points and safety aspects.
Then going into things that are carried for survival and self preservation. There's some of us that may never be so far into the wilderness with or without our ORV that certian things would be neccesary to carry, but then their are those things that just should be carried.
Just because you may not be wheeling in that kind of senario doesn't mean you may not want to be better prepared in case of an emergency circumstance.........maybe your a doomsday preparer.
Whatever the case be, I thought this would be a really good way to add a whole other dynamic to the site, and it always amazes me how little some of us really know about certian things that some of us would think should be a given for the activities we engage in or are thrown into unexpectedly.
Let me know what you think, or not......but lets help spread the wealth of knowledge to hopefully keep us safe and maybe save our lives one day.
Safe wheeling!

Neil, great idea...can't tell you how many folks we have come accross up in the mountains of Colorado in the summer time that get stuck and they don't have warm clothes, blankets, simple things things that we always carry because the weather can change in a heart beat and the temps can drop without warning...one thing I have added is a SPOT which uses satelites and GPS to track your location and can be used to send simple pre-programmed messages, like "I am okay", "I am broke send help" or "Emergency, send SAR" and the other cool feature is I can give anyone log in permission and they can track my treks on Google Maps, which my Dad enjoys back in RI...the also offer SAR insurance that covers the cost of emergency rescue should I ever need it....
