Good day gents!! Still creeping around the boards to see what is going on with y'all.
My 9 year old BFG's dry rotted and had a blow out. Time for new tires. I installed Firestone street tires and since have had a bad vibration arounnd 45mph+. I have had it back in the shop twice to check the balance and they say everything looks good number wise. Its not a bump induced vibration. Happens every time no matter the conditions. I pulled the front tires and noticed the passenger side rotor/caliper looks almost dark purple/black indicating possibly a sticking caliper. Would this sticking caliper and a potentially warped rotor cause these symptoms?
If I brake hard, the jeep will pull to the right as well. Thoughts, input ideas?

I think you nailed it Deltacottonboy12. If a new caliper,rotors and pads don't solve it......just remember that most tire balancers only spin to a max of 35mph. Sometimes that isn't enough to give true balance throughout the entire range.
On a side note, welcome back! Try poking in more often.

I sure hope so. I am actually surprised they did not mention the rotors looked horrible unless it was coincidence the calipers started sticking just after the tire switch. I will tackle that AFTER I replace the sunroof in my truck. Dang trough guides broke and my sunroof is stuck in the open position. Ford quoted me $1400 to replace it. I found the parts online (now ordered) for 150 and will tackle this job tomorrow night. I am driving the shaking jeep for now.
Always appreciate the replies. It appears my work does not block this site so that is a good thing right!!??

Neil, some firewalls or other cyber security geek stuff blocks certain sites and deny you access. The Military does this a lot. Some times all you have to do is look up in the URL line and delete the word blocked or cut and paste the URL into your browser, but other times it is blocked for real and you can't do anything about it. I don't have the vibration, but I do have the pulling to the right on braking in the LJ...just started. Had the oil changed at the Jeep dealer yesterday (they offer 4 oil changes and inspections for $44) and they said I needed an allignment as there is some uneven tire wear up front, but the brakes are fine...so I will rotate the tires and get an alignment done and see if that helps.

I purchased all the parts today and will install tomorrow. Crossing my fingers this works. The spring time weather has me itching to knock the pollen off the jeep.
Got the Sunroof fixed Friday morning around 1:30 am. Glad that done. NOt much fun seeing the Lariat with parts all over the garage.

If it is only pulling while braking, it probably isn't an alignment issue. A hanging rear brake will cause it to pull hard also. mostly noticed when slowing down from higher speeds in a hurry.
I would check for anything loose or with play up front before doing an alignment. If you don't stay on top of tire rotations, the front tires are always going to wear unevenly because of the inclined angles designed into the steering geometry.
Uneven air pressures from left to right can cause pulling.
My general opinion on alignments is that they are only required when something is deformed from a hit or a component that affects the steering, camber, or caster has been replaced due to wear or needs to be.
