Installed one on the LJ...pain in the @$$, but it looks good. Will see how I like it over the summer. Had a Bestop Safari Bikini which I didn't like at all, wouldn't stay tight and the rear straps kept coming undone...so the windows on this top store in the top intself, so you can run it as a bikini or as a full soft top.

I'll be interested in seeing your thoughts on this Brian. I was thinking about getting one of these for my CJ when I change the rear portion of the EXO to accomodate the family better.

How was it a pain Brian? I have one on mine, fits good and is easy to "operate".

Been seeing more and more of these on the road around here. One of the greatest inventions for the soft top Jeep ever, IMO. The cost and complexity of the bow system always turned me off to a full soft top on my YJ, on top of more to store when the hard top was on.
Sorry to hear about your issues with the safari bikini, Brian. All I wanted was one of the spring bows to keep the water from pooling up in mine on the YJ. Otherwise it was great, never had any problems with the straps not staying tight.

Well the pain part was I picked what was supposed to be a warm sunny day, but after letting the top soak up the rays all morning, it clouded up and got cool and windy but I already had the soft top off...second is the directions are terrible, as in there are two fiberclass rods, where do they go, the directions don't say and I am baffled...lastly, the window bag is designed for TJ windows, not LJ windows, there is plently of room length wise to store them, but you have to fold them to get them to fit in the bag...I may modify my Bestop window roll to use with the top. Lastly is the rear strap hooks won't stay on the tub rail with the windows on and not sure how long the "reinforced" slots in the fabric will hold up using them (as the directions say to do) as the place to hook the hooks. If you have any pointers I would love to hear them.

Brian, the 2 fiberglass rods go above your head on the front section of the top. You'll see 4 little pockets they fit into. As far as the hooks go, mine fit through the top and under the rail, do yours fit under the rail in safari top mode? I still use my window roll mostly, just use the window bag when I'm out and want to take the windows out.

Will, thanks, I will look again for where the rods go, but I couldn't see any slots or anything that holds them...I tried to get the hooks thru the slots in the windows, but they won't fit, I have them on the bottom of the window and just tight enough not to come loose.
