Is it possible to add an Email address without having to delete the hidden Email and having to go through a complete re-registration?

Go into profile and then click on modify profile, change your E-mail and then if you schroll down the page you will find where it says HIDE E-MAIL . Select no for it to be seen. Go to the bottom of the page and click on Modify Profile.
Without trying it,I would say that the account should remain the same. The reactivation is more for the security purpose of you not trying to use someone elses E-mail adress.

It worked. They send a new activation key and that's it.

Now, on a similar note...why does it say my account is "not active"?! How do i get an activation key and what does that change? Obviously I'm here and posting, as well as moderating, as I just deleted and old, dead topic in here earlier.

YJSaab,
That I don't know. I went to modify your profile and I can't switch anything to make it say activated. The only thing I can do is disable the account. So, I guess as long as the account is not disabled, you can access the site.

As long as it works, what the heck but here's an answer taken from proboards support about an identical situation:
"He has to check his email to get the activation key, that is the only way to get rid of the account not activated part."
I didn't bother logging-on so it's not in a quote box.

Well, there's nothing ni my e-mail from ProBoards. I guess I'll just roll with it, like Andy said. It doesn't seem to impede my abilities to log in, post, and moderate.

I know this has been a dead thread for some time, but the Activation of your account only becomes an issue if I or one of the other ADMIN turned it ON.
What will happen when you go to acctivate will be an E-mail sent to you with an activation key that is then entered.
As of right now........still Acctivation is not required when you register, to post.
If the site does begin to pick up like I am hoping, I will turn it on for the simple reason that it keeps computer controlled spamming off the site.
Acctivation can even go to the point that a new registrant would have to be approved by a staff member before being allowed to post.
All of this is to ensure that we are dealing with humans and not computers believe it or not.
