Thanks. I don't mind if you copy, the idea wasn't totally mine anyway, Neil has some old part on one of his levers so thats where I got the idea.

did you drill and tap yours, or just weld that badboy on?

It already had a drilled and tapped hole in the end of it, so I just ground down the lever a bit, twisted it on and then welded it.

Got my Rusty's trans skid (what's left of it) on there. So now it's good to go for RC in November.

At least you said it. Did you leave room for a winch in the future?

Yeah, made sure there is room in there for a winch plate. Not that I get stuck.

It's not that you don't,it's when you do! Besides that, ther's a ton of uses for a winch other than self recovery.

Winch is on my list. After I get done with the tires, gears, HP30, lockers and maybe a CO2 tank. When the Willys becomes a trail truck the paint is staying as is, maybe just a little POR15 here and there to slow down the rusting. With the exception of the rockers the body isn't in that bad shape, mostly just surface rust. It's a shame I wouldn't be keeping those axles, already has 4.88 gears.

Got some new 33" Cooper STT's and Cragar V5 wheels. I was amazed at how little weight these took to balance. Gonna run my 32's on the street till they are totally gone and run these on the trail. By the time my 32's are worn out I will hopefully have enough saved for gears and lockers.

Ordered an Aussie locker today that'll go in the D30 and later in my hp30 when I regear. Also ordered a Rubicon Express hand throttle. Gonna make lower rear shock mounts similar to the ones that Clayton makes, moves the lower mount behind the LCA mount to keep it out of harms way. Pics later this week.

Relocated shock moutns are definite on my next axles! I regularly destroy my lower rear shock mounts. Functionally subtle mods are the best kind!
