Rack is done. Came out nice. Here is the t-case shifter bracket I made. Reused the original Z-bar and bushings. Cut the Z-bar and welded the end that snaps into the bushing back onto it. Shifts smooth.

AtoZ rocker guards. Got them bare steel and painted them Krylon semi flat black, managed to get them on without scratching them too.

Got going on my half top again. Finished the frame the other day and just started the fabric yesterday. Using a windjammer as the back window, cut down TJ side windows (thanks again Brian) and I bought a cheap safari top to cut up for the additional material. Going pretty good so far. Kinda looks like a pile of laundry on there now but it will tighten up once its done. Thanks to my Mom for the sewing assistance.

Looks good! I know that pain too... but it's been awhile. Back in '95 I worked on my old CJ every night from 4 until about 10... for monthis! Tub off, frame wire wheeled and painted, tub swap, rewire, custom seat frames, cage... etc. I won't need to put that level of effort into my LJ.

I hear ya, too!! That's part of why I havent' finished the steering on that friggin' Rubi yet! There is more motivation once it comes to working on my own rig, though!

i like it! i hope you don't mind if i steal your output shaft idea, the knob broke off my gearshift when i was trying to unscrew it, and i'm having a pretty hard time finding one in the area...plus it looks pretty b.a.
