Hey all....
Just introducing myself quick. I'm 22 from Saylorsburg, PA (near Stroudsburg). I just tonight picked up my first jeep, a '95 YJ pretty much bone stock. I've never been into jeeps all that much but I went wheelin' with "Neil" from the boards a few times and since then its only been a matter of time before I got some funds together to get my own little project going. Being from around the Poconos, I'm looking to make a bunch of trips to Rausch Creek, so shoot me a PM if you ever need an extra jeep in your crew.

Hi everybody....
My name is Mike, I am 31 and live in Toronto, ON. I've had my 2001 TJ since it was a baby out of the factory and is mostly stock. I keep thinking about what I want to do to her, but since she is my dd, I have to stay within reason for now.

Welcome to the site guys...you can do a lot in a stock Jeep that is also your DD, I owned four Jeeps that were never more than stock with better tires and I wheeled them. I would look at making sure you have some basic recovery equipment, Hi-lift jack and some two straps are good, inexpensive items that should be in all Jeeps IMHO That being said, my '02 TJ was my daily driver up until a month ago and I ran 5" lift with 35" tires, but my commute was in town and not hwy miles I have driven the same Jeep from coast to coast and wheeled it in about 30 of the lower 48 on numerous road trips, you just have to think each modification through as what ever you do effects something else Hope to see you all on the trail some day.

My name is Shannon and I am living in Central Ohio. I too am a UK fan and graduated from UK in '95. GO BLUE! I am 37, live with my common-law husband, Marty, and work at Qwest Communications. I have been Jeepin' since '96 and have loved every minute. I currently own a '99 Grand Cherokee and a '96 Cherokee. I used to have a '96 Grand, but it was stolen and totaled. I still miss that one .

Hey everybody, my name is Todd. I live in Memphis, TN, and i have a 2000 Jeep Wrangler. Bone stock right now, 'cept for the shiny new fog lamps. see below. This one was taken during the summer. my hair has now grown back. i just didn't like picking mud out of my hair, so i cut it off. This is what she looks like all cleaned up. notice the water spot on the driveway. that doesn't happen very often, usually its muddy!! ;D I enjoy taking her out for a mudbath every chance i get. she's served me well over the past year. I rescued her from a car dealer down in MS, and it's been an ongoing love affair ever since. My wife isn't too thrilled with the idea, but she's coming around. i still can't get her on the trails yet, but we're taking it one day at a time. I can here you now, "shut up and tell us about your plans for the Jeep", and since you asked so politely, i'll tell you... I'm planning a 3" lift this winter. 33's on black steelies and a custom front bumper that's already fabbed up. need to make the brackets and the winch plate and it's good to go. also considering front lockers, although i really don't mind the open diff so much. if i really had my druthers, i'd slap a ford 9" rear end in her and make her d**n near indestructable. i've got my eyes on an abandoned explorer with the rear end of my dreams in it, i just need to go over and figure out if anyone would miss it if it were to turn up missing... wink wink, or if i can convice them to take a $100 and let me tow it off. im a geek by trade, so it's really interesting to me that i've drawn so close to this hobby. usually i'm into geeky things, computers, servers, etc.. but this is totally wireless, and not in a way that gets me to myspace yet, still more exhilarating than anything else i've done in a long time. i love the open feel of my jeep as i roll down a dusty trail or through a mud filled hole in the earth that is just calling out for me to "paint it brown"... thats one of my fav things to do, paint the jeep brown with mud. i'm also a member on midsouthjeeps.com. check them out if you get a chance. nice site and good wheelers. i've been out with several of their guys and it never disappoints. i'm also linttrap over there. my pics are on that site and many of the riding exploits are documented thoroughly. Thanks!

would that picture have been taken at the hatchey (sp) river bottom by chance?
my father used to live in bartlett (not really bartlett, but an unincorporated township that used bartlett's post office, so for all intents and purposes...)
welcome to the group, either way!

no, it was taken at the recently defunked "Callis cutoff". a little set of trails that were supposed to be a neighborhood. the land deal fell through and for many years now, it had been "undeveloped and unwanted" to anyone that wasn't out to get dirty.
however, now you have my curiousity peaked and the thought of new trails to go out and wheel is exciting. do you have anymore info on that spot your reffering to? i'd love to go out there and take some pics of my jeep in your old wheeling grounds.

i have absolutely no idea where they are. i went there with my brother when i was 15 in my dad's 2 wheel drive cherokee. if i remember correctly, the hatchie river bottoms and the wolf river are somewhat close to each other. ask around, wheelers in the memphis/bartlett/cordova area would most likely know if it's even still around.
