Welcome back, then! The spirit of the old board is still here, though the numbers and activity aren't.

Howdy, I live in the North Cascade Mountains of Washington State and have been a 4x4 junkie ever since I could turn the steering wheel of my dad's ol' 1946 Willy's Jeep Universal. After years of running "Mongo" my 1977 Dodge short bed 4x4 with a 600+hp 440 under the hood I got a 97' Explorer and put a superlift 4" kit under it with 33" T/A Mud-Terrains I finally got my own Jeep... its a dang dream machine... the previous owner has over $30K invested in fabrication work... full inner roll cage and a custom frame and suspension including Fox Racing Shocks and a 4-link set-up... spooled and locked differentials front and rear, 12,000 superwinch, TOYO M/T 37" 14.50x15's, built to the hilt small block chevy, killer thumpin' tumes, 9000K HID lights, after-market gauges, racing seats and harnesses... this rig is maxxed out! I am originally from Livingston Montana and went to 16 different schools growing up including Chicago and Tacoma so I have been from the smallest type scool to ones that had more students than towns I have lived in. I'm happilly married to the love of my life and have two grown boys ages 30 and 20... we also have twin great-nephews who we adopted... they are 11 and love Jeepin'. I have worked endless hours with a greass roots movement to bring solar power to the masses and am a NW Regional Sales Director covering Oregon and Washington. I love my mountains and have spent many years exploring therm on quads and in 4x's. I want to do all I can to make sure many generations to come will enjoy this land as I do and do all they can to protect it. Glad to find this forum and hope I can get some good tech advise from someone concerning fixing my front suspension after a minor fender-bender where someone discovered a Hyundai and a serious off road Jeep don't make a good match... it totalled the front of their rig but none of my sheetmetal was hit... I think my frame was almost higher than their roof... they basically bounced off my left front tire after turning directly in front of me. Can someone suggest a forum for good advise on a serious hub conversion? The front knuckles are off a 199-2004 gran cherokee and has the 3-bolt flange on a rockchrusher 35 differential. The current conversion is an older one that is no longer manufactured... it was from Warn. Attachments:

Welcome aboard. The first suggestion for the front axle as far as a serious hub conversion is an axle swap. A custom dana 44 would fit the bill much better than any type of upgraded 35. Expecially running 37"s.

Jason from Buffalo NY...
IDK why but there has always something in the back of my head telling me to get a jeep. Styling comfort (YJ) and quality build are probably the reasons. First time I sat in a YJ it just felt like home so I bought an 01 Laredo, put 100k on it and just bought an 04 laredo with 63000 miles. I love my jeep however I have not gotten into modding. I try to pop on here every now and then and chime in on a few posts if I am familiar with the subject. Seems least I could do since I have gotten a tremendous amount of help from you guys/gals on here.
